Division II programs in trouble?

UC Santa Barbara (I believe they were D-II) had cut its football program a year or two I arrived there. I always felt like I missed out on a big part of the college experience without the ability to go see football games. Fortunately, I became a Longhorn fan shortly into my college career and now I'm living in Austin... so I'm able to get to some games (one this season, hoping for at least two next season).

Of course, at UCSB, the "Thunderdome" was dubbed "the Cameron Indoor of the West". Basketball games were straight-up crazy.

Sorry D3 I have no sympathy for you .... even without college football what a great place to go to school. The landscape and the gorgeous ladies .... doesn't get much better than UCSB!
