Bucs cut two starting LBs, and more.

Just plain dumb.

Sure, Derrick Brooks is old - so I can understand why a coach who wants to rebuild would cut him. But Cato June? Really? The guy is 29.

Why not cut Brooks and move June back over to WLB where he belongs. Some team is going to land a very solid WLB.

Sometimes I just don't get coaches.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have targeted New Orleans Saints free agent linebacker Jonathan Vilma and are trying to line up the former University of Miami star for a visit, according to Scott Reynolds of Pewter Report.

Tampa Bay is projecting Vilma as an outside linebacker to play next to middle linebacker Barrett Ruud. The Buccaneers need linebackers in the wake of cutting veterans Derrick Brooks and Cato June.

You've got to be kidding me.

I don't understand how you can cut someone like June, and then try to bring in a guy like Vilma (WHO YOU WILL ALSO BE PLAYING OUT OF POSITION!)

The transition from MLB to WLB shouldn't be as steep as June's move from SLB to WLB, especially considering that Vilma had WMLB experience in NYJ's 3-4... but seriously. What the hell is going on in Tampa?

Jolly Rogers? Anyone?
