Damn these boards have been awfully quiet lately. no word from the Yankee haters. Let's see it went something like this. the bums lost eight srtaight to the Sox they lucky if they make the wild card .....etc.

well the sox have fallen they have now lost 5 in a row soon to 6 as it is 9-1 in the 5th. The Yankees have a 7.5 gm lead on the sox and the best record in the AL so to all those Yankee haters

One post was enough but double post...you're just rubbing it in now.

Sox have to get Wake and DiceK back to have any shot of doing some real damage. Penny is dreadful.

Dice K is awful. Good thing for the sox the yanks cant beat Beckett in the playoffs. A short series would mean the end for the pinstripes.

Awful is a bit of a reach. This season he has been hurt (or out of shape, depending on who you hear it from). Last season he was really good. He doesn't need to be an ace. They need him to be a #4-#5 starter. If he and Wake can come back healthy around the first of September, they can run a rotation of Beckett, Lester, Buchholz, Wakefield and Matsuzaka. That should be enough to stay ahead of TEX and TB.

Oh and Sox/Yanks can not play in the divisional round so you have no worries on the short series.
