Steelhead
EDIT: removed Wayne from the options 12 team 2 man keeper league. Mine are Gore and Steve Smith. I am drafting 12th and currently looking at Housh, Ochocinco, Roy, Moreno, T Jones as my serpentine picks. have a chance to move up to the 2nd spot for the following: swap my 1.12, 2.01 and trade my 4.01 for his 1.02 and 2.11. Basically moving up in the 1st, back in the 2nd and losing my 4th. With the 1.02 I would have my choice of Colston, Portis, or Brees. Based on keepers those are the top talent available. I am leaning towards Brees so I have a stud at every position after the first. Or Portis is a possibility and targeting McNabb or Schaub or the like in rd 4 or 5. Scoring is below and appreciate your thoughts on this. Our draft is this Sat. Scoring rules QB 1pt per 5 completion 4pt per TD -2 per INT 1pt per 50yd passing 3pt bonus @300yds 2pt bonus @400yds RB/WR/TE 1pt per 2 receptions 1pt per 20yd rushing 1pt per 20yd receiving 0.5pt/20yd IKR/IPR 2pt bonus @100 rushing 3pt bonus @150 rushing 2pt bonus @200 rushing 3pt bonus @150 receiving 2pt bonus @200 receiving Start 1 QB,2 RB,3 WR,and 1 TE,K,DEF Edited August 21, 2009 by Steelhead

Steelhead
Since it's a keeper league, you need to share who might be available at the 1.12 and 2.01 spots for anyone to give an opinion. If you can give a guess who'd be available at 2.12, that'd help even more. I did list some at the beginning of my post. For the 1.12 and 2.01 spots I am projected to have these guys available Wrs Housh Ochocinco Roy Williams Berrian RBs Moreno T Jones Wells Lendale
Steelhead
thanks for the thoughts. I like Brees too...I had him last year so I"m trying to not fall into that trap of recreating a team (I won the superbowl last yr). I am going to see if he'll swap 3rds...which moves me up and may take the edge off losing the 4th rd pick. I just confirmed the #1 pick will be Wayne. So I would definitely be trading up for just Brees. I don't think Colston is worth trading up for, though I could nab Portis as he'll be available at that 1.02. Butkus
I would agree with LO - the 4th round throw in is a bit steep but might be worth it if you really want a shot at Wayne, who very may well be taken at 1.01. You still need to get a starter or significant value out of your 4th round. Can you counter with trading him your 4.01 for his 4.11 as part of this deal? He currently has no 4th rd pick because he rookie locked Kevin Smith. So he's willing to move down in the first to gain that 4th pick. I tried swapping 3rds too but he doesn't think he can do that. I may try for swapping 5ths but that probably doesn't really get me much. Wayne's going to go #1 so I'm defintely looking at being able to get Brees or Portis at this point
tonorator
seems like a bunch to give up for a QB. if i knew i could wait and grab warner or rodgers, i'd hold off to keep the consecutive picks and my 4th rounder. gore and smith are solid keepers, but they don't have all that much upside left. you are just hoping they can stay on the field. using more picks to increase your chances for some breakout performances would help. Rodgers is a keeper. To get Warner I think I would need to probably use my 2.01 because I do not expect him to last back to my 3.12. At that point I am hoping McNabb is there at 4.01 and Rivers would be gone as well.
