SEC=UGA
I do have a question and it is a homer question. USC and UGA have the same record. UGA was beaten by a ranked Oklahoma State team, USC was beaten by an unranked Washington team... How the heck is USC ranked higher than UGA? Not only that, USC loses and drops 5 spots, UGA lost and dropped 9 to 10 spots... Same question goes for Penn St. And yes, UGA does look like s hit this year and is probably ranked about where they should be in the 19-23 range. This whole pre-season ranking business sucks. SC was ranked higher to begin with. Both lost, so people still think they are better than UGA SC dropped more than 5 spots, they were #3 when they lost, and dropped outta the top 10, before moving ahead of a few teams that passed them, and then lost this week. Penn St was only that high because so many teams lost in front of them. So when they lost, they dropped about where people thought they should be, though Im not sure another loss wont really sink them' Basically teams are judged by their body of work, who they beat, lost too, and where they started. Which the last isnt right IMO. This is why FLA will be ranked ahead of Bama all year, until Bama beats them in the SEC Champ game. And FLA will be playing in the Orange or Fiesta bowl against probably Va Tech.

How is it that one team can lose to an unranked opponent (i.e.Washington) while another team loses to a team actually ranked ahead of them (Ok.St.), and fall basically just the same amount of spots. Same with Penn State losing to Iowa (and at home in a "white out").
