Cameltosis
Man, I just dont know. I have never had a holiday beer that I enjoy, mind you I havent tried many. I guess Camel likes his chicken spicey but not his beer.
Kid Cid
We just did a tasting of holiday beers at the store this past weekend of which this was one of them. Holiday brews run the gamut of different styles and this one is kinda middle of the pack. They also use lots of spices in this beer, not something that I'm big on. In spite of the spices this isn't a bad beer at all. A nice maltiness to balance the spices, nice color and it really does smell like Christmas. bushwacked
Fan of Great Lakes but not a fan of spicy or fruity beers myself. I'll take a good hoppy beer like Sierra's Celebration Ale or a great old style/Scotch type Deschutes Jubelale.  http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ndDcQmgjc-I/STrK...bration-ale.jpg  http://thefullpint.com/main/press/deschutes-jubelale.jpg Edited November 4, 2009 by bushwacked

I like fruity, spicy, hoppy, blah..blah..so I'll definitely pick it up.  Oh and yeah that Sierra Nevada Celebration is very nice. Had a couple last night (along with a couple of their Hefe which I liked as well).

loaf
it's known as Christmas Crack here and it's out of stock around Thanksgiving. I drink the hell out of it.
Caveman_Nick
I will see if I can find this. I am a big fan of Anchor Christmas and stock up annually, but wouldn't mind finding a plan B
detlef
Working on a Winter Beer Geek Cage Match right now. My rep dropped off some winter ales and stouts and I'm putting together two menus, one for the Asian Fusion joint, the other for the Mexican place that we're going to run on back to back nights. I left my notes at the other place, so not much more to say about it other than the fact that Rogues Yellow Snow IPA is a rather nasty beer with a really freaking stupid name. Needless to say, that one didn't make the cut.
Atlanta Cracker
Sweetwater Festive Ale is awesome if you happen upon any of that.

Puddy
Damn. Forgot about it. Have to take a look over the weekend. Went to my spot last night and didn't see it. Asked the guy and he said they had three cases and sold the last six pack shortly before I arrived. Â I did pick up Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale and a sixer of Bell's Christmas Ale (I'll probably crack those open this evening, and I'm expecting a very good beer). loaf
I drank the Sierra Nevada yesterday. Not quite the same as GLCA, more hops in the SN
Puddy
Bell's Christmas Ale is a mighty fine seasonal as well. I'm not surprised by this.
Puddy
Finally had it this evening at Old Chicago on tap. Very good seasonal. I can't really say it was better than Bell's however. Was very happy they had it when I asked.
Puddy
The store had the Great Lakes 6-packs today. I'm halfway into the first one. I think I may like this beer out of the bottle better than on tap. That's not normally the case. $11.99 for a six-pack surprised me as Great Lakes are usually a few dollars cheaper. I then noticed that it is 7.5% alcohol. You wouldn't guess that based solely on the taste. Â Good call Loaf.
loaf
I love that stuff, had another one yesterday. I can't come up with the Bell's one though...I saw a sparkling ale from them and a winter warmer but no holiday brew. The Christmas crack is 10.99 a six here.
