Bonedaddies
anytime USC gets beat it is a great day!! So if we had a playoff, who is the last tean in? LSU / USC or are they both on the outside looking in?

And yes, the Cardinals are a great team. IMO, their OL and DL are as good as any team in the country.

On another thread about wins against top 10 / 30 Sagarins rankings I saw Stanford at like 17 and was very close to posting about how that could not be correct.....looks like I was right, 17 was too low! Oregon WILL win out and end up in top 6-10 IMO, but if the season ended today the Pac 10 would be on the outside looking in. bad? with their round robin scheduling and strong nc games - the Pac 10 is out of national championship contention but it is the strongest overall conference in the country. after watching FLA last week I really was not that impressed, the SEC is way down IMO and there is no way FLA or Bama would have come thru a full Pac 10 slate unbeaten - too many quality teams, with 5 in the BCS top 25 carry on Edited November 20, 2009 by wildcat2334

untateve
You would have to take the champions from the major conferences as automatic bids. The BCS could be used to pick any at large teams.
detlef
You would have to take the champions from the major conferences as automatic bids. The BCS could be used to pick any at large teams. Exactly. The lack of credible comparisons due to the fact that the best from each conference rarely play each other throughout the season makes it imperative that winning a major conference gets you an automatic bid.
