Riffraff
Chargers marched down the field like it was nothing. Blitzes are being beat easily by Rivers.

Riffraff
they didn't? They were very beatable yesterday, just not by Flacco who has been very timid the last 6 weeks. Everyone knew the Ravens couldn't mount any type of comeback.

Ursa Majoris
That should definitely be a fumble.
Riffraff
It looked like a fumble to me. Edited January 17, 2010 by Riffraff
bushwacked
That should definitely be a fumble. Â I'm not sure I understand the rule then. If the ball comes out when a guy comes to the ground, it's an incompletion?

I thought the same thing...The Ravens gave that game away. They just needed a little offense to go with the D.  I agree with the Indy D tho'. It looked really good. whomper
amazing how the rules have changed since we were younger. When did an obvious fumble become a non fumble ? Nuts
bushwacked
Jets got jobbed there  They have been calling plays like that incompletions for a couple years now. Edited January 17, 2010 by bushwacked
Ursa Majoris
They have been calling plays like that incompletions for a couple years now. I disagree. He had full control and then lost it on the way down.

Right, their defense was good, the offense not so much. Baltimore looked like a team that didn't belong playing in the post-season (heck all the losers so far this week look that way). If the Ravens had any type of real offense, the game would have been a good one.
Riffraff
Chargers dominating the game... but it's only 7-0. Â Jets finally got a first down yet and we are half way thru the 2nd quarter. Edited January 17, 2010 by Riffraff
bushwacked
He had full control and then lost it on the way down. Â And they have been calling a lot of those plays incompletions over the last few seasons, even after a "football move."
Ursa Majoris
And they have been calling a lot of those plays incompletions over the last few seasons, even after a "football move." Whatever. Would he have dropped it without the tackle? No. Â And Phil Simms is a driveling moran.
whomper
Whatever. Would he have dropped it without the tackle? No. And Phil Simms is a driveling moran.  I agree with you and think it was a fumble. Simms did too
bushwacked
Whatever. Â Don't you remember the Tampa Bay playoff game a few years ago? Bert Emanuel (I believe) TD overturned late in the game? Took like three steps after the catch and it was stripped out before he came to the ground. The replay booth called it an incompletion. Â Not saying I agree with the rule, but its consistent with the way they've been calling it.
