Cowboys/Vikings

This should be a great football game. Cowboys are red hot. Vikings are tough as nails at home. I think the key to the game is Dallas keeping up their tough run D and pressuring Favre. If they apply big heat to Favre I can see him reverting to his chuck and pray ways resulting in some turn overs. Vikings have big weapons on O to account for. AP is a stud. Rice has emerged, Shaincoe is a big weapon as well. Favre is playing possibly the best football in his life

On D , Allen is a beast. Winfield is a beast. Dallas has to keep Allen and Co off of Romo or he could be pressured into mistakes as well. I think this is going to be a very exciting game. As I said they have to get pressure on Favre and keep AP contained somewhat. No pressure on Favre and it could be a long day.

Good luck Minny fans. Should be a good one

I think Dallas wins ... I said it a few times over past few weeks but Cowboys have a feel to them that reminds me of Giants two years back

I think they are peaking at right time , are confident was ever and have it working well in all facets of the game

I believe it will be a good game this weekend but i see Dallas winning 27-21

Pressure is always going to be key against Farve along with coverage. Easily said, but this year I think we not only have the coners that match up with speed but the defensive scheme looks to have really taken hold and the players understand it and are executing it at a very high level. Farves, recievers in Rice and Harvin have very little if any playoff experience and I have yet to see them play against such a well balanced D. We can single cover the TE and double on the outside since our front 5 have been so active. Controlling the run I don't see as a huge problem either so Farve is going to have to have time which he won't and he is not as mobile as he use to be.

On Offense, Romo is coming into his own and now with Felix and all the WR's stepping up, I don't invision the Vikings stopping us. The Cowboys are red hot and hungry with solid playoff experience (in the from of loses) to leverage from. This team is ready and as stated before peaking at the right time of year. The fact that for all intents and purposes this D has all but shut out their last three opponents and beat the red hot Saints in their house tells me this may just be our year.

The thing I worry about the most is penalties and pre snap errros in the loud metrodome. If the Cowboys play dicipline for once this year they win.

Cowboys 31 Vikings 20 in a very good game.

I don't feel good about this game. I see Favre getting pressured alot too and it doesn't help MN playing without EJ Henderson and Winfield has not been playing at 100%. Really need Romo to implode in this game and Peterson/Taylor to run the ball with success for 35+ times to win the game. Also lots of quick passes to the RBs to negate the pass rush. Dallas is the team I wanted to see however even though they are red hot. I didn't want to face AZ after they dominated MN a couple of weeks ago and didn't want to have to beat a hot GB team for the 3rd time.

Very true. They were driving me nuts against Philly with that. You arent always going to be able to overcome those mistakes.

Some very good points made...I am looking for a very good game. The Vikings key to victory is controlling the line of scrimmage on the defensive side of the ball. If we can stop the run and get after Romo, we will have a good chance of winning. If give Romo any time back there, he will put up some good numbers. The other key is that Favre will need to play mistake free which is going to be tough against their 'D'. I am just glad were at home. I think they are hungry (both teams)...who wants it more??

One other factor is the pressure is off the Cowboys in this game. They only really have the playoff pressure to deal with and not all the other stuff. The monkey is off their back for now and can play loose and play their game. If they play to the level of last four they win and I think they can even play better by eliminating the penalties and that would be scary. limit penalties and play thier game they can be dominate. Without help I don't see how the Viking win. Last time we played Farve he was knocked out of the game by a corner blitz. I hope that doesn;t happen again but they have to get to him. I want both teams at full strength all game no injuries would be great.

Its cliche and its boring, but its true that this game will be won in the trenches. Vikings absolutely HAVE to get to Romo. They need to physically beat him up as well as knock down and/or intercept his passes. If I was D-Coord, I would send corner blitzes from Romo's blind side right away to see if I can get a big hit on him. They need to inflict some pain on him and get him thinking he is in for a long day. If they allow him to have time, he will torch the Vikes. Austin poses a major problem and I dont think the Vikes have ANY answer for Witten working the middle of the field. So, its going to be on the D-line to play out of their minds. Jared Allen is going to need to be as good as he thinks/tells everyone he is. He needs to be a major disruption to the Dallas gameplan and force them to make adjustments to account for him. If they can block him with a single guy, that's a problem. Edwards needs to step up and start backing up all the jack he talks. Obviously, the WW needs to be solid against the run and try to keep those big O-line off the LBs who are going to have their hands full. Winfield is going to need to play like Winfield and not the gimpy guy he has been the last couple games. Margin for error will be very slim for all defensive players.

On the other side, the O-line HAS to play its best game of the year. Period. If they dont give the QB time, the Vikes will go nowhere fast. Passing game needs to work to open things up for the run cause I dont think the Vikes are good enough at this point to ram it down Dallas' throats with Peterson. Going to need balance and I think it starts with early success in the passing game.

Coaches are going to need to cook up something special to help the players and the players are going to need to execute at an extremely high level.

Should be a fun game.

How are the Cowboys special teams? Can Percy Harvin make a difference?

They did a nice job against Desean Jackson. McBriar is a pretty good punter and the Kick off specialist has a great touchback ratio.

IIRC, Cowgerls return game is very good with Crayton and Jones. I think stopping them is a bigger challenge than getting Harvin loose although anything he can do to get some good field position(or possible score) would obviously be a hugh plus...

Well I guess I'll be the voice of reason and sanity...

Cowboys 45 Vikings 2. Favre runs off the field crying at halftime never to be heard from again. ESPN finally catches up to him in the farms of Mississippi where his new best friend, a goat named Hugh, is happily being milked three times daily. Vikings fans finally realize their team will never win any big game ever and become Green Bay Packer fans when the move to the Oklahoma City Vikings is completed in 2011. Eventually the entire state of Minnesota is ceded to Canada and America celebrates.

The Cowboys kickoff returns are below average. Felix has been a bit of a disappointment in that area this year. Crayton was struggling as a punt returner early in the year so much that the Cowboys signed Rossum. He was injured on his first return and Crayton has been outstanding since then. Our biggest threat on special teams is Beuhler's kickoffs. I believe our opponents have had the worst average starting field position in the NFL. I'm hopeful this can nullify the Vikings awesome kickoff return unit.

With how it's been lately cowboys should win they are the hottest team playing right now! However if the Vikes can play as they have at home most of the year it could be the end of the hot streak for Big D!

Vikes - 34

Boyz - 33

In another instant classic with Favre running all over the field after the game and Romo with that what just happened smirk on his face all over the highlights the rest of the week!!
