cdfbtrgbb
HI... Since most of the college football teams begins their football season today, or at some point this Labor Day weekend. I would like to take the time, to ask what is the best college football movie ever. And also please tell me why, you think that movie is the best college football movie ever. The only 2 college football movies that I can think of are Rudy, and We Are Marshall. And I bet there will be people having Rudy on the list, since I bet that it is an old favourite, but will a more of a recent movie We Are Marshall going to be on the list? And I bet that there are some others that I could be forgetting about at the moment.
kpholmes
The Program and The Express are both very good as well.
Chavez
I'd say The Program is the best - it tries and fails to be the North Dallas Forty of college football, but it's a solid effort. Rudy is less about CFB as a whole and more of a Daniel Ruettinger hagiography. Still extremely well-done.
piratesownninjas
Regent Chairman: This is not a football vocational school. It's an institute for higher learning. Coach Winters: Yeah, but when was the last time 80,000 people showed up to watch a kid do a damn chemistry experiment? Why don't you stick the bow-tie up your ass? Seahawks21
Necessary Roughness is pretty classic, but The Program reigns surpreme. Just too many lines to post one.
Chavez
Necessary Roughness It's tough for me to rate highly any film whose best scenes are straight ripoffs of Burt Reynolds movies. It DOES have the best motivational speech ever - "YA WANNA KNOW HOW TA PLAY FOOTBALL? Ya play it like Ed Gennaro played it...a 150 lb halfback, he was a madman; no, a crazed beast! YA GOTTA RIP OFF THEIR F*CKIN HEADS AND SH*T DOWN THEIR NECKS! ....Let us pray..."
buddahj
My vote's for "The Program".

digitaldan21
I'm not sure if it was HS or college, but what about Radio & Remember the Titans. Good flicks, bad memory. Edited March 30, 2010 by digitaldan21

Chavez
Both were High School. Well, if it was TEXAS HS, that's probably equivalent to a lot of d-3 college programs. And any decent HS is probably as academically challenging as your average SEC school.
