I'm being drug to Lubbock with the woman, she's visiting a friend and I'm going just because I don't have anything to do.

I'm a big foodie, anyone have any suggestions on what I need to keep an eye out for, as far as some good food?

Elaine: "Would you like something to read?"

Passenger: "Do you have anything light?"

Elaine: "How about this leaflet; Famous Jewish Sports Legends Great Restaurants of Lubbock?"

Thanks Bier.

I ended up eating at a restaurant in the Depot District called Triple J's Chophouse & Brewery. Not too bad, we had five people with us and I tried a bit of everyone's meal. Best thing of what we ordered was the lemon-herb chicken. Steaks were good-not-great. Their home brews were pretty good too.

I also ate at a local taqueria for breakfast the next morning, which was pretty tasty.

On the way back, I stopped at some beat up gas station to fill up. Just so happened that this place had a bbq sandwich counter on the inside, so I bought a chopped beef. Very tasty. As I exited, there was a poster hanging near the door proclaiming this stop one of the 50 best bbq joints in Texas. TC's Ponderosa if you're ever in Dickens, TX.
