Tommy John surgery :wacko:

Yeah...that really sucks. I know this surgery isn't as big a deal as it once was but this guy already demonstrated nasty stuff you only see once in a blue moon. I hope the kid recovers quickly but I don't think he'll be quite the same.

But some come back better or with little or no effect. The Nats will handle him with kid gloves, this is one rehab that will not be pushed. IMO I doubt we see him pitch in the bigs next season.

To paraphrase what I read that a writer on twitter said, The Nats owe it to the Yanks to keep Strasburg fresh and on a pitch count for 5 years from now"

Liriano is only now approaching his 2006 form after TJ in 2007.
