McBoog
Cool! Is there an Android app too? Â +1 Â The code is similar since they both basically lie on top of Linux. There are a lot of Huddlers on this platform. Don't leave us out!

WJW
Thanks everyone. We are excited to be able to offer the iPhone app this season. The reason we started with the iPhone is pretty obvious, over 50 million phones sold and climbing fast. We may do an Android version, but haven't decided on that yet. While that operating system is gaining ground, they are still a distant second to iPhone in the US at this time. It is also a completely different language and requires a new build, not an adaptation of the iPhone app. As for Blackberry, that isn't in the plans. Their market share is decreasing and that trend is very likely to continue. And it's not really an "app" device by design and they will always be playing catch up to the iPhone and Androids in our opinion.

Sunday Couch Potatoe
What about for my Zack Morris Saved By The Bell Phone? You know the one that looks like you've got a modem attached to your ear.... You got an app for that?

WJW
Not for much longer. Recent studies show that less than half of blackberry owners would get another one. Many predict them to be #3 in US market share but the end of next year. BB users I know are dumping them left and right for iPhones, and those still using them do so just as a hand held email / texting device, not for apps (BB holds only about 5% of the app market). Also, the platform is a nightmare to develop on. Bottom line is that currently BB is at the bottom of the heap as a development platform. Although, in my opinion, I believe BB users are dumping them for Android smartphones. Most people I know prefer to not deal with AT&T, deal with iPhone 4 issues, or support Steve Jobs. Scare Tactics
I will never dump my BB for an iphone, nor will i ever own an iphone... Though a droid is always a possibility... But it would have to be if RIMM just doesnt keep with new phones & technologies... Only time will tell..
theprofessor
The last i checked there were more blackberrys than Iphones. Â Not sure why? There's a huge difference between the two. MustOfBeenDrunk
I haven't down loaded the app yet but what advantage is there than just going on line and accessing the site that way ? Â Does making your BB make a fart noise qualify as a business app? Ask your neighbor's kid if the app works on all the BB platform and carrier variations? Odds are it doesn't, as there are hundreds that have to be individually coded for. Â Anecdotal arguments aside, facts are facts. BB is losing market share and they have virtually zero presence in the app market. So why would a company of any kind spend resources developing for that platform. The fact is they are not. Many development firms won't even do BB work.
MustOfBeenDrunk
Hey what's up ? I just added the app and I was able to see info that is normally only available to paying subscribers ? The first article I opened was about Vjax When I went to the huddle online and tried to access this article I had to sign in first ? So are we giving away for free (what others have to pay for) if they have an Iphone ?
