bankerboy
I typically pass on the 1st tier QBs and recently have had success in drafting WRs early. However, my league is a non PPR league that gives 6 pts per QB TD. Yardage cutoffs are 50/20. The other twist is that in this league you start 1 RB, 3 WR and 1 RB/WR flex. So the question is...given the scoring, how early would you consider drafting a QB?

dannygordo
round 3 I was first overall in my 10 teamer, ended up with Favre in the 8th, and Ryan in the 10th........... lots of value in the later rounds.
delusions of grandeur
depends, what are the RB td's ? and where are you drafting from. and how many teams in the league I agree it depends alot on what spot you draft from, since that determines what values at other positions you'd likely be passing up at that spot. For instance, if I picked close to the corners, I might even consider Rodgers there, assuming I know I can land a top WR or good RB in just a few more picks... Or I might even consider Brees on the turnaround or even towards the mid/late-second But if you pick early, then there's a decent chance you might not see good QB value until at least the third, and this maybe the case with middle picks too, if you're league has QB hungry owners. My usual thought with QBs is that I never ever reach on one early, unless I really, really, really like him to outproduce his draft position... But there is always a certain point in the draft when any QB becomes good draft value. It's up to you to decide when that is though. I don't have a draft spot yet...will get that this weekend. I figure top 5 is still RB after that I would typically draft a t1 WR. Also..no TE slot in this league...they get mixed into the WRs.
