twiley
The Hefe wasn't bad. Had a weird aftertaste and lacked depth but if you're comparing it price point to price point - it's a great value compared to the swill that's priced about the same. ETA: It may have been the bavarian style too which the author gave a poor review on. Edited October 5, 2010 by twiley

Hugh B Tool
They certainly are not of the same quality for the price point. I can and have bought superior beer at local grocery stores for a dollar more a sixer. Plus they don't have twelve packs. Their trinity amber isn't bad, but it isn't all that good either. Give me a myriad of other micros for a buck more i.e. Deschutes, Widmer, Sierra Nevada, Redhook etc etc etc. And I love me some Trader Joe's, just not their beers. Shoot if you like their beers, the Two Buck Chuck is right across the aisle! Edited October 8, 2010 by Hugh B Tool

gbpfan1231
It caught me funny - I used to go to the same gas station every morning in CT and there was a hand written sign on notebook paper that said "The buns have moved to the other isle". It was never changed in over a year and it made my day every morning.

It was never changed in over a year and it made my day every morning. Reminds me of the sign when I was a kid camping in the hills of KY. We were there for a week. There was the shack of a grocery store in a nearby town (I think it was Hazard, KY) that had a sign out "fresh bread daily" with the same moldy loaves of bread on the shelf everyday. Chavez
trader joe mountain creek is piss Mountain Creek is not a TJ house brand. It's brewed by Minhas, a small brewery in Monroe, WI. In an absolute sense, I think it rates as "tolerable"; at its $2-a-sixer price point, it's a decent value.
