What a debut by halladay... This guy is simply amazing... It was by far the best post season pitching performance I've ever seen and probably ever will... And I'm only 25. Congrats to doc... you gave me the chills tonight and a story I can tell for the rest of my life. Thanks!

P.S The only thing that could of made this better was if the great HK could of watched all this happen... I would of loved to hear him call that last pitch!

I'm far from a Philadelphia fan, and I got the chills. Any sports fan had to enjoy that.....well, other than Reds fans.

I have to agree. The only one that comes anywhere close, in my mind (at least in the last 25 years or so), is Jack Morris pitching a 10-inning shutout in Game 7 of the World Series in 1991 (against Atlanta). This was more dominant, obviously. That performance (by Morris) was more impressive only in the sense that there was so much on the line. That game (as well as Game 6) became instant classics. This one will too, of course, but for a different reason... The fact that it's only been done twice in MLB history is amazing. Halladay actually made it look pretty easy, which can't be said for Morris in '91... he sweated it out, through all ten innings.

Anyway, I don't mean to turn this into a debate... What Roy did today was absolutely incredible. Had to take the wind out of the Reds' sails, to say the least. They may have expected to lose Game 1, but not to get no-hit. Of course, the positive side of that (for Cincy) is that it was just one game... That's what Dusty has to sell to his players. It doesn't matter (technically, anyway) whether you lose 10-9, 10-0, or get no-hit... they're all the same in the standings (or in this case, in terms of how much they weigh on the series outcome).

The no-no aside, the first two games of this year's post-season have been somewhat anti-climactic. I have a feeling tonight's game is going to be more tension-filled, in terms of who wins... Hopefully, the Twins come out on top.

Best pitcher in the major leagues and, IMO, it isn't really close.

Cliff lee isnt too shabby either. I love it Texas beat the Rays and no one is talking about it. Another win tomorrow with CJ on the mound and Texas may win their first post season series ever.

Oh and ROY.... Loved having you on my fantasy team this yr....

I was there last night. It was the most incredible sporting event I have ever been a part of. Still hasn't sunk in all the way.

Any chance Roy could win Cy Young/MVP?

I think NL Cy Young should be a lock (or close to it). MVP will be more difficult.
