driveby
Went to my favorite burger place last week and it was just OK. Maybe just an off night I told myself. Came across a few recent negative online reviews and started to wonder........ They've only been open about a year and it turns out that it was sold to new owners about a month ago. Those were the best burgers I've ever eaten.

Scooby's Hubby
best pizza place in town - they use homemeade thin crust with the little thick round pepperoni's that curl up and get crunchy - rebuilt and bought 2 new ovens. They also kept their old oven. You can tell the difference and I always request the original oven. the new ovens are not as good.
Big Country
Had this type of thing happen to me twice One was a little taqueria back in northern california. Had been a regular there since junior high. One day in college, walk in and the owner isn't there. Turns out he had sold it the week before. Walked right out. The other was a local Italian place near where we live now. When it sold, the new owner pretty much kept the menu, but oiver the next couple months a massive decline in the level of service if you ate in the retaurant, and I found the food was just not up to par. Recently, a friend of mine mentioned how much he and his wife really enjoyed the place. It's been about a year since I've eaten there (though have had the pizza at other events, and it is still okay), so may have to give it another try.
