whitehype
one thing i hate doing in fantasy football is playing your own players playing against your defensive team, if your player scores then your D loses points(based on your scoring system)
historymike
You field your best players, including DEF/ST. Sometimes both can win: what if your defense scores a couple TDs from INTs of fumbles, or if a kick returner busts one for a TD? Or what if You have a choice between, say Peyton Manning against a strong defense or Tyler Thigpen against a soft defense? You of course start Peyton, and while he might torch the normally strong DEF, are you going to sit a defense that has been money all year long? Methinks not. Chief
I'll have to let my league know about this new position, might be better than our current defense teams.

McBoog
This makes no sense, If that player scores and you don't start him, the D gets hit by the points anyway. It is like the fallacy of "the QB/WR" hookup getting "double points" on a TD. Are you really gonna start Naanee over Roddy White if Rivers is your QB? Always start your studs! Potman
I have that situation this week, AJohnson and the Jets D. Definitely not going to sit either one. If I knew what was going to happen, I would make playing fantasy football my full time job! Edited November 21, 2010 by Potman

SLAYER
Stupid stupid post. I always play the QB when facing my D and hope he gets sacked a few times, doesn't hurt the QB's stats any.
Chavez
Stupid stupid post. I always play the QB when facing my D and hope he gets sacked a few times, doesn't hurt the QB's stats any. A FR TD or KR/PR td don't affect ANY of the points your players going against the D have either. Even if my QB threw ONE int - and it was a pick 6 - hell, that's almost as good as a td pass (depending on your scoring - in my main league ints are -1). I always start my CBs against my QB...that way if he throws a pick 6 INT I get points just like it was a passing TD(6 for INT-2 for INT=4pts) Oh and my LBs against my RBs too....that is a nice ass hookup
