20-0 WOW!! #6 in the nation. Speechless.

How does Fish do it? He just doesn't seem like a good coach, even when he was at Mich. I just thought he rolled out the basketball and had a lot of good players. Is it just about the recruiting with him? Kids want to play for him?

I could not honestly tell you. I have never been a Fisher fan, but he has done a fabulous recruiting job the past few years. We'll see what these kids are made of come tourney time..the WAC isn't exactly a powerhouse conference.

They're not in the WAC, they're in the Mountain West Conference... which, outside of the "power" conferences, is arguably the next strongest conference in the nation. Heck, last year they received twice as many tournament bids as the Pac-10. They might receive more again this year, but it's too early to say with any amount of certainty. My guess is that it won't happen... The Pac-10 will likely get at least one more than last year's two, while the MWC probably won't get four again. SDSU and BYU are pretty much locks, and should get fairly high seeds at that, but who else makes it (if anyone) is still very much up in the air.

More important than the rankings or number of invites, though, is the fact that the conference has proven that they can compete with the teams from the power conferences. Besides the previously mentioned wins that SDSU has, the conference's top teams have also beaten the following:

BYU - Arizona (by 22 points), St. Mary's

UNLV - Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Kansas State
