Square
I love to buy games. I buy them when they hit $10. I have about 50 in the closet. I just finished Fear. I aspire to make it to Bioshock and Crysis before the end of 2011. The law seems to limit me to 30 min 2-3 times/week. I'd get to bioshock if I were you. I finally played that game not too long ago and it is awesome. If I hadn't gotten sucked into Fallout New Vegas I'd be playing the sequel right now. Furd
I'm disappointed in Dead Rising 2. Parts of it are just too easy. 1) Only 1 of the 6 bosses so far - Antoine - was particularly tough. 3 of them went down on the first try. 2) The zombies seemingly part like the Red Sea for the survivors that you are escorting. You rarely have to defend them, particularly if you give them a decent weapon.
Tford
Does anybody here play Reach, GRAW2 or Unreal Tournement 3? These are the games we've been playing online recently and we'd love to get more heads to open things up (capture the flag and such) We've got at least five of us signing on on Saturday night. I'd love to get a few more to play capture the flag or something. ....also... has anybody played Red Dead Redemption online yet? Any good? I think I have Unreal Tournament 3 kicking around somewhere. What platform are you playing on? PC I assuming?

Tford
Just got my Xbox 360 in the mail today. Part of a phone/internet contract promo. Hadn't really planned on getting a 360 so I haven't really looked into the game library. Any Xbox 360-specific games that a guy needs to pick up? Odds are that I have many of the good cross-platform games on Wii or PS3 already.
Tford
Been jonesing for a decent sports game lately. NHL is solid as ever but my Madden interest is waning big-time. I'm hearing lots of good things about MLB: The Show from some of you guys but I got some questions. 1) I'm a baseball sim rookie. The last baseball game I took seriously was Bases Loaded 2 for NES. How do you bat and pitch? Are the controls easy to get the hang of? I've played baseball games that have a minuscule square that you have to move around the strike zone that makes hitting incerdibly frustrating for an uncoordinated guy like me, tell this is easier to get the hang of. 2) One of the best parts of these kinds of games are the GM/Coach work. The NHL franchise does an amazing job creating realism in how the GM mode works with regards to signing players, making trades, valuing picks and young players versus older talent etc. How does this game fare? 3) Can you play online? If so, how well does it run?

It's a little slow at first but after a while I had a hard time stopping. "Just one more mission" lol. You won't be sorry. All of that I've said so far is about the single player. You get your friends into a posse and you'll be playing for hours just messing around. It's a great MP game for friends to play together. Public MP games are not my cup of tea though, too many griefers. Edited June 15, 2011 by boltnlava

I'm not going to do a breakdown of answers to your questions...I'm just going to say to get the show...the online play is good, but there are a lot of losers who quit when they are down...but I haven't had much experience there as I haven't really played it at all, let alone online... the whole gameplay makes it the best baseball game every year since I can remember.... GET THE FRIGGIN SHOW...
REZ
I hadn't played in years as my boys were always on the system. I bought a xbox a couple months ago and picked up a couple games on my sons recommendation. I just put in Halo 3 the other day and love it. I usually just play sports games and I'm going to have to get a few of those to play.

I got to the part where you play his kid, screwed up a save and never went through the big battle that led to you becoming his kid. I've been thinking of picking up a second copy so the wench and I can play. We've been playing a lot of Reach recently my xbox live name is SirEagon
rocknrobn26
Never expected to see that one. Loved the game when it came out - I might try it if I had a copy to do skirmishes, but recall the AI was lame (computer players would build too many units and get "jammed up" such that they couldn't move). And I did similar ie bought the newer version(s) for cheap and still felt ripped off - much like I did with "DOOM 3" which wasn't DOOM at all. Try Age of Empires #1, which is also an old game but newer and somewhat better graphically than C&C. Recently saw it in Staples for $10. Very similar to C&C in many ways (the "health bars" for units, how diff countries/races have unique strengths and weaknesses, etc) but somewhat more advanced in that you can "buy" technologies that make units better eg fire farther or each hit does less damage. AOE 2 has better graphics but IMO has a more cluttered look - what I love about #1 is it has a very "clean" look n feel. Still play it once in awhile and in fact it's about the only computer game I still play for the most part. Screw you and the horse you rode in on!!! I bought the Gold Version...played thru that and just Kicked ass at easy on Campaign, gonna go back and play moderate.I play it pretty well at the moderate level (Campaign & Skirmish). The 2 vs 2 is a little tough at times. Suiliman is a MoFo! Today I got the Asia version. Still playing easy and it's a cake walk. Problem is....I'm dreaming it! What the F'??? I play it in my sleep too???? F' you BeeR! Thanks for the f'n sugg!

SuperBalla
I am waiting for the latest black ops game to come out for PS3. Side story: I have a director's edition Legenda of Zelda Ocarina of Time, in the original packaging Nintendo 64. I almost made a mistake of trading it in at game-stop. The guy behind the counter was like, dude...Wt F? I'll buy that from you for $50.00...I immediately smelt something fishy so I said..." Welll, I better hang on to this." They are selling it on ebay for $100.00! So, I have it safely tucked away for my son, with my Nintendo 64 console...incase he wants to go beat it. I couldn't finish it!?! Pope Flick
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex on the Wii How is it? I am of the opinion that the Wii FPS games are hidden gems and are much more life like than the HD consoles with your sights locked in the center of the screen. I've played out World at War, Black Ops, Quantum of Solace and RE4 - which was the best of that lot. On the 360 I wrapped up LA Noire and haven't touched DA2 in a while (but am on my second playthrough).

I'm probably not the best person to give an opinion in that this is the first first person shooter game I've owned. Having said that, I've enjoyed it thoroughly. I find the graphics to be very good (but I'm not playing on a HD screen) and the gameplay is very smooth. The multiplayer modes are quite addicting. I'm looking for some online friends so I don't have to go it alone all the time, so let me know if you pick one up.
TitansFan
Steam has been having a summer sale so I've been picking up a few new games. So far I've grabbed Alpha Protocol, Heroes of Might and Magic 5 (plus expansions/DLCs), King Arthur Collection, KOTOR, Terraria (gifted by a friend), Total War: Shogun 2 and Trine, and all except Shogun for $5 or less. Now I just need the time to play them all...

Vote Quimby2
Recently finished Crysis 2 and Infamous. I dug them both. I bought LA Noire and while it looks good I find it pretty damn boring and have no interest in finishing it. I'm also going back and forth with playing NCAA and Black OPs online. Looking forward to the new Batman and Rage.
