TheGrunt
Maybe we can find an answer if the teatards tell us why they coincidentally waited to protest big bad federal govt. the day a half-bred Socialist Mooslum got into the Whitehouse but not a minute sooner. Um, I don't know but I think you would need to teach me how to read in your language first.
Ditkaless Wonders
They want to do something, anything, but they have no goal, direction, or apparent ambition. Lacking these they simply rage, bicker, whine, or critisize. Imagine, as John Lenon wrote, imagine if they had a positive goal they could turn their energy to. They might have rehabbed blocks of housing, they might have assisted the elderly, had a mass teach in tutoring effort for kids, who knows. All those giant brains, educated brains, the perfect product of our educational elite, and they came up only with misdirected rage and the hope to maybe get on T.V. Perhaps it was that such was occuring but went unnoticed, and once then noticed got attention, and attention brought adherents. Perhaps those who joined at that time were ready to join such, but with a President checking the power of congress which had been, for two years in the hands of the Democrats, there was no need. Perhaps in their minds the need became urgent upon that change in the balance of power. Perhaps those who have consistently opposed a philosophy can stay opposed to it regardless of the color of the standard bearer of that philosophy. The belief that such a change alters the argument in the least, or creates some moral high ground shows, IMO, intelletual cowardice and infirmity. Of course for some they are just ignorant, inbreed, racist Chia Pets. Tough to tell the players without a program. SEC=UGA
I don't have a problem with violent protesters being maced. What does this have to do with macing the women who were just standing there? The women in question, from the previous video, may have been instigating violence against police, may have been asked to move and did not or may have been disrupting a business... I don't know and unfortunately, neither do you. That is why the NYPD is currently investigating the incident. Also, what I was getting at is that it seems that these people sh1theads have pushed the police to a near breaking point. The police are fed up with having to deal with this crap and being verbally and physically assaulted by these jackasses. Further, they are creating havoc by blocking streets, businesses, etc... These tactics being used by the protesters are going to get said protesters hurt. There's only so much BS a cop can take.
WaterMan
If a cop is breaking down mentally, he should get help. Macing tax payers and his coworkers isn't a wise decision over people pinned on the sidewalk yelling at him. I mean you guys jump on NFL/MLB/NBA players for responding to fans in the crowd. I see this reaction as the same thing.

You would think that if the women were pushing the police officers to the brink, it would have been one of the officers who had been directly near them who maced them. Instead it was an officer who walked over to the area. maced them, and then walked away--while the officers who had been there the whole time sort of looked on with incredulity at the macing. I didn't think about that. You make a solid point. If there was a big problem, all those officers standing beside those people would have done something. If all those people resisted being on the sidewalk, there was no way that orange mesh would have held them.

CowboyGal2011
Are you ready? Van Jones: "We are going to build a progressive counterbalance to the tea party. Eighty percent of Americans agree with everything that you say on this show, but we have no voice. We know that jobs are more important, and this phony, made-up deficit stuff they talk about. We know that people who have done well in America should do well by America and start paying America back in the form of more fair taxes. "People who benefited from the bailouts and from the tax breaks should start paying America back. They're doing great. "Everybody else is suffering. That is 80 percent of the majority. And we're going to now have a voice. "And you're going to see an American fall, an American autumn, just like we saw the Arab spring. You can see it right now with these young people on Wall Street. Hold onto your hats. We're going to have an October offensive to take back the American dream and to rescue America's middle class." Thank God for the 2nd Amendment.
