irish
Welcome to all those who have offered up their time and effort to participate in this year's NFL Mock Draft, along with those wanting to follow along!! This should be a lot of fun watching fellow Huddlers play GM for their Homer teams. I also wanted to add that if any Huddler would still like to be a part and have their opinion/voice heard when their Homer teams' pick comes up, feel free to PM me or the Huddler listed with the specific team below. RC94
Thanks for organizing this, Irish. It should be fun. What is the time limit per pick?
irish
Not a problem. I enjoy doing it and with all the crap I've gone through in my life recently, a little bit of sidetracking fun is good for me. There won't time limit as we have plenty of time before the draft. I've already PMed Captain about the 1st pick. I'll keep on top of people but this will be more relaxing than putting pressure on anyone. ajh2
Irish, I think Dallas is trying to grab a CB in the first round. Awaiting Seattle at 12.... Got QB - Flynn so.... "I am in like Flynn."
WashingtonD
The Redskins obviously traded a ridiculous number of picks to move up to #2 - Robert Griffin III is by far the best player for the team right now, because of the general state of our line and his ceiling, he might even be better for the Skins than Andrew Luck. He's got all the tools to be successful. I fear more for the Redskins and Shanahan/Snyder's ability to be patient with him to develop him into the star he should be than I do for his ability to be a star (if that makes sense). No other players would be considered here, it's RGIII or bust for the skins D
ajh2
I agree WashD, RGIII fits the Wash O better than Luck. With the mobility requirements for QB with the roll-outs and bootlegs, a very good fit. We will see how Shanahan grooms RGIII.

CaP'N GRuNGe
Ideally id like to trade down, but for purposes of the mock go ahead and give the Vikes Kalil here.
flemingd
Lost Hillis at RB so needed one anyway, and Richardson will be special. He's that AP type of player that makes defenses change what they do when he's in, and that will help McCoy much more than any single WR will. Blackmon is tempting, and if I already had a franchise QB that could maximize his talents I might go with him, but I don't.
Jolly Rodgers
The Bucs need CB help in the worst way. Even with Eric Wright being signed, both of last years starters aren't locks to return (Barber - retirement? & Talib - jail time?). The pick here is Morris Claiborne. BeeR
Was angling to this guy anyway and the picks made ahead of me made it easy. Rams need WR play-maker and he's it. Not blazing but the league has a list a mile long of great WRs who weren't blazing, in fact probably the majority of them. Rams get their guy. Infinity
The New York Jets would like to display an angry emoticon at the Cleveland Browns for taking the guy they were hoping would fall So here
WashingtonD
Ummm....if the Jets are putting an angry icon for thinking that the best RB in the draft falls to the 15th pick I'll throw out a fool icon for the Jet's mock draft owner thinking that was going to happen bring it Edited March 20, 2012 by WashingtonD

flemingd
This is where the real draft starts. The first 6 picks were pretty much pre-determined, perhaps moving the guys around to which team, but all the same guys. Kiper keeps putting Coples to the Jags but I'm not so sure. ajh2
Kirkpatrick was invited to meet the Jags.
tazinib1
To the 14 teams behind me, don't worry about a top notch LB or DE falling to you, cause I'm gonna pretend I"m AJ Smith and reach for a LB I could get in the 2nd.
BeeR
Maybe the Colts won't draft an under-sized, under-performing front defensive guy this year (yes I mean after the 1.01).
bpwallace49
The Dolphins draft their developmental QB of the future in Ryan Tannehill. With his college coach now on the Dolphins staff, plus losing out on the Manning sweepstakes, the Fins realize they need to try and develop a QB on their own. Tannehill has prototype size and speed, and will get to sit and hold a clipboard behind Matt Moore for 2012. Throwing money at Alex Smith doesnt make sense, as the Fins now save their money for free agency.
Wpob
Sorry for the late jacksonville pick. Sick kids and a wife away on business made it tough to get to the computer. If this were the REAL pick, Iwould have desperately tried to trade down and sccumulate more picks. Also, I thought about a QB but since they took one last year in round 1, signed Garrard and in play for Tebow, it is overkill.

And It's cool, I'll just send Landry to give him a helmet to helmet and we'll see who wasted their first round pick. I've been in meeting with Rex all morning. Our real target is still very much on the big board Edited March 20, 2012 by Infinity
