Cowboyz1
OK its pretty obvious the schedule makers either were offended or just down right want to make life for the cowboys as difficult as possible. I don't recall ever seeing a team travel the country and have just three home games in the first 11 week's of the season. Oh and if that wasn't enough when they do get back from tour de us they get the the short week and host the skins on Turkey day which is always a physical game then Philly and then back on the road again just to come back home a week later to host Pittsburgh. Another physical game. Hell by the time we get to the stretch run it may not even matter how we play in December if we don't learn how to win on the road the first half of the season. Man o man what schedule. Well it will either make um or break um. I can see now we need pass rush and a running game. Without both all season long, we're lunch meat. 1Sep 5@ NYG8:30 PM EST 2Sep 16@ SEA4:05 PM EST 3Sep 23TB1:00 PM EST 4Oct 1CHI8:30 PM EST Bye 6Oct 14@ BAL1:00 PM EST 7Oct 21@ CAR1:00 PM EST 8Oct 28NYG4:15 PM EST 9Nov 4@ ATL8:20 PM EST 10Nov 11@ PHI4:15 PM EST 11Nov 18CLE1:00 PM EST 12Nov 22WAS4:15 PM EST 13Dec 2PHI8:20 PM EST 14Dec 9@ CIN1:00 PM EST 15Dec 16PIT4:15 PM EST 16Dec 23NO1:00 PM EST 17Dec 30@ WAS Edited April 18, 2012 by Cowboyz1
muck
So, you're complaining about having 5 of the final 7 games at home? I'm sorry ... what's the issue again? Did I miss something?

Bronco Billy
I think it's very considerate of the NFL to give Girlz' fans a built in excuse for sucking this season. Normally fans have to twist themselves in knots coming up with bogus excuses. Hard to believe that DAL plays such an unbalanced schedule. How many more road games than home games do they have again? detlef
Are you kidding me? I'm staring at that schedule trying to figure out where it gets so difficult. I mean, other than the fact that they have to play 16 NFL teams, which, by definition is a difficult task.
Ditkaless Wonders
No Packers, Lions, SF. No Texans, Patriots or Panthers. No three game stretches on the road. Getting a division opponent to travel on a short week and playing another after a mini-bye week after Thanksgiving. That looks about as cake a schedule as a team could have unless they simlpy alternated paying the Colts and then the Vikings. Sinister. They do indeed have a tough stretch of 4 out of the next 5 on the road, but that is balanced by having 5 of their last 7 at home. yeah, that's just brooootal
muck
Well, maybe he's concerned about their final two road games against a sophomore QB and a rookie QB from the perennial powers, CIN and WAS, respectively?
SEC=UGA
Yeah, I'm not feeling too bad for any team that plays SEA, CLE, CIN, TB, CAR, PHI, CHI and WAS. The Cowboys shouldautomatically have 8 wins (even if they split the Phi and Was games) just from that. Now you need to knock off the Giants once and the Falcons, or sweep the skins and yer in the playoffs.

You cannot say the set of 16 games (opponents) themselves is particularly brutal, or that the schedule makers did that because that is determined before the schedule is even made. Maybe the Cowboys should move to anothe pro football league if playing 16 games against NFL teams is so brutal.

Ice1
As a Cowboy fan, I actually think they have a pretty favorable schedule. No doubt they are in tough division and have plenty of difficult games but what else is new. Getting the Ravens off a bye week is big and 5 of the last 7 at home gives them a great chance to make some noise late. Scooby's Hubby
5 Cowboys fans responded in this thread, how many were freaking out? Just Cowboyz1, which is his MO. As a Cowboy fan, this schedule looks no different than year's past. We play the same guys in our division as we do every year. It is those games against Philly we have to worry about. With all due respect to the NYG's, Philly are the early favorites for the division. Dallas must at minimum split games with NYG and Philly and sweep WASH in order to even have a chance at winning the division.
coordi88
their only two tough games are 15 and 16... rest of their schedule is comparatively cake, and they get to finish the season (you know when moral is falling and injuries are rising and people are starting to wear down) at home seems like they have a winner
