Sturphy
AJ was very active on Sunday, put up 10 solos and 4 assists. I kept saying to myself, "AJ... in on another tackle... hmm." It's like cutting his hair made him more serious. I'm tempted to roll with him over Rolando McLame. All those Desmond Bishop tackles seemed to be going to him. What does everyone think about AJ going forward?
Bronco Billy
Serious response - If Hawk has performances like this weekly, GB's D is going to be worse than last year. I saw him unblocked quite a bit during the game, but I think this is because teams realize that he normally doesn't step up & fill but rather lets the ball carrier come to him. That's why the majority of his tackles are 5 to 7 yds downfield, and also why he had such good numbers. The O has more immediate assignments closer to the LoS so they let Hawk stand & wait unimpaired. I would find it incredulous that GB is goig to continue to accept this from their starting ILB, but as long as they do I'd guess he'll continue to be FF productive. Big John
Looked like he is tackling more, but more after allowing over 5 yards a pop. With that a better IDP scorer than before but still a shaky LB.
Sturphy
Thanks guys, I agree that he has sucked, just wanted some opinions on whether he would still be sucking up tackles for points. I think I'll start McClain over him this week... and watch Hawk blow up for 10 and 4 again.
