lkirc
My father used to work with him at a Detroit car dealership. I know it sounds wierd, but players back then used to work in the off-season and some of the Lions used to sell cars. My old man said he was a great guy. RIP Mr. Karras

Bronco Billy
RIP. Damn, he made more than a few Packers' lives on Sundays miserable during his career, and his depiction of Mongo in Blazing Saddles was comedy gold. GB Alex.

stevegrab
He was in that sitcom with Kurt Warner's mother in law, right? Webster? Have no idea who Warner's MIL is, or what TV shows she was on. Webster was the first thing that came to mind for me with Karras, I had forgotten his role as Mongo (as penance I'll find time to watch Blazing Saddles this weekend). There's an old saying, if you have to explain your jokes, they're not that funny. PS Like the Foghorn Leghorn bit, he was one of my favorites dealing with that little chicken hawk
