Grogansghost
One of my resolutions for the new year is to be less of a technological dullard. Wondering if any huddlers have found particular apps that they love. I might own the most underutilized iphone on the planet. The one app I have on my phone is groupme which can be cool for keeping tabs on a large group. it creates a number that everyone can subscribe to for texts. Using it we managed to get in and out of Vegas for a bachelor party without losing anyone.
Zooty
Half of mine are kids apps or sports stuff. I like ScoreMobile for scores and I have a Droid so I'm not sure what iphone. I use Key Ring for all those discount club cards. Otherwise I dont use much. Have some work related ones for conversions and the Periodic Table Lunar cycle and Google Sky
Grogansghost
Key ring sounds cool - sick of fumbling through those tabs at the check-out. Does anyone know if there's an app that let's you store casino loyalty cards? (sorry, degenerate gambler) I'll have to check out Lunar Cycle and Google Sky. I've been wanting this for my basement tv but I'm not running an internet connection all the way down there.

They sent me a seperate box that let me connect them to my wireless network.

Timmypg
I use: Words With Friends Twitter Facebook MFL Barstool Sports - Funny site and the App lets you access the site easier then the web. Watch ESPN & ESPN Radio. ESPN Scorecenter - for scores MLB - lets you listen to the live radio feed of any game. At $15 for the season it's pricy but I like it. I had a lot more on my Iphone but I just switched to a Droid phone so I'm still downloading ones I need/want.
rajncajn
This is what I have on my Android phone: Utilities Adobe Reader (for being able to read PDF's) AutoCAD WS (if you use it) GO Launcher EX (better theme & functionality than stock) Simple Calendar Widget (self-explanatory) Dolphin Browser (much better than the stock browser) Tools Bills reminder (keeps you on top of due dates for paying your bills) ConvertPad (everyone needs to convert systems of measurement at some point) Evernote (great notepad and checklist app, also comes with a widget) Dictionary.com widget GasBuddy (shows lowest gas prices near you) Mint.com (the most comprehensive bank balancing app I've found) I hear Quicken has one now, but haven't seen it yet) Red Laser (Bar scanning app helps you find out info on products including price comparisons) Translate (translates language) TripIt (A must if you travel a lot. Keeps track of your itinerary and flight status) Weatherbug (There are quite a few good weather apps, it's just a matter of finding one you prefer) Yelp (Kinda like the Yellow pages, but with ratings) News · Pulse (Kind of a one-stop shop for all major news sources) Social Networking · Facebook, with messenger service · LinkedIn (for professional career networking) Sports · MFL App (If your leagues use MFL) · ProFootballWeekly (For football news) · Fox Sports · ScoreMobil · ESPN ScoreCenter · Yahoo Sportacular (My favorite for simplicity) · I’d also recommend finding a local radio sports station that has it’s own app. Music · Pandora (absolute must have) · Amazon MP3 player (works just like iTunes) Entertainment · AllTrails (Useful App if you like hiking. Will find trails nearby with ratings) · Amazon Kindle (Works just like the Kindle reader, only on your phone) · Flixter (useful for looking up movies, movie times in your area and watching trailers. You can also purchase & download movies to watch, but I’ve never used that feature) · My Tracks (Another useful hiking app, uses GPS to track and map your hike statistics and guide you if you get lost) · Photobucket (Useful if you use Photobucket to store pictures online) · Netflix (watch movies over the phone, requires a subscription which is about $8/month) · Google Sky Map (Really cool app that shows a map and identifies stars based on where you point the phone) Games · Words With Friends · Defender II (Addicting) · Naught (Sort of a puzzle game, just found it) · Move The Box (Another puzzle game) · Flow Free (Another puzzle game, yeah, I like them) Games for the kids I wouldn’t recommend this; they will always be asking to play on your phone · Angry Birds (Any one of them is fun for all ages) · Mega Jump (Also fun for all ages) · Tic Tac Toe · Hangman · Where’s My Water? · Donut/Candy Maker · Pianist (actual piano on your phone)

One more question. I'm physically handicapped and the fewer remotes I need the better so now I'm wondering if I get the box will the app control my tv (power, volume, ect) like the real Directv remote does? You can search for movies to watch on your phone or you can record them on your DirecTV receiver that has capability. It is really hassle free. Although I couldn't use the iphone to watch anything until I received their latest update just recently. The time between two updates, I couldn't watch on the iphone. Not with the app that I'm using. I think there's one out there with a volume plug in. None that I found that would control tv features. ETA...you might try the app Able Remote. Pretty sure it will draw lines, shapes and other editing. Can Intellicad save to a DWG or DXF format?

polksalet
I just dropped a grand on some IntelliCad powered software. I'm extremely impressed. The same thing with an ACAD engine is right at 3k.
