IDP Information

Recommended Posts

Love the stuff we get. I would like to make a suggestion though. Since we have weekly Thursday night games most leagues process waivers on Wednesday night. The IDP info comes out on Thursdays. Any way of getting SOME of it sooner? Like maybe, free agent pickups. Just an idea, no pressure. :brow:

I understand where footballjoe is coming from with his request. My waiver claims process Wednesday and not getting IDP data until Thursday is really a drag. I also understand that IDP is still in the minority vs team defense for most people so I guess I can't complain to much. I am sure IDP data is done on the back end of processing the offensive data....

You would be 100% wrong about that.

I start exclusively working on IDP projections and write-ups on Sunday evening and don't get them finished until Wednesday evening. That means I don't even look at offensive stuff for my Beyond TDs and Tackles article until Thursday and I have to have that submitted by 2AM Thursday evening so it will be up on the site on Friday AM. As was pointed out by TJ, his IDP Free Agent report is out on Tuesdays.

The IDP Metrics can't come out any earlier because I don't get my raw data from my stats provider until Wednesday evening. While the NFL is publishing snaps played, mining them from their gamebooks isn't easy to do and it's a timely process. Also, fwiw, you won't find those 10 metrics anywhere else on the web...you might find Tackle Frequency or Points/Snap but not the entire lot of them and not with snaps played provided too.
