Homestretch Hounds Rescue and Sanctuary

As many of you know, my wife and I run an all-volunteer non-profit dog rescue, sanctuary and hospice called Homestretch Hounds. Every year we conduct a fundraiser to ask for assistance in keeping the dogs in our care safe and healthy. Each year we need to raise approximately $40,000 to do so. While this is a passion of ours, we cannot do it alone and do need the help from considerate and giving people like you.

Homestretch Hounds saves dogs from rural pounds. Since beginning in 2004, the rescue has saved the lives of nearly 1,000 dogs that would have otherwise been euthanized. We focus on helping pets that most other rescued do not take including middle age and older dogs, pets with health issues, larger dogs, and “harder to adopt” dogs such as hounds, black dogs, etc. In other words- dogs that have no other option. These dogs have so much to give, they just need a second chance and someone to care for and love them. They also come with an incredible cost. Every dog is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and treated for any other health issue they may have. Beyond that, there is the continual cost of feeding, heartworm and flea preventative, maintenance and utilities.

Won’t you please consider a donation to help pets in need? All donations are tax deductible as allowed by the IRS. No amount is too small- every little bit helps. Homestretch Hounds is not subsidized and does what it does solely with financial support from donations and adoption fees, both of which have decreased. We are truly appreciative of past donors and would like to extend our gratitude for your donation.
