darin3
The losers get $30k, winners $60k. Hardly anything, even for the guys getting league minimum. The game means nothing. They can't put the game in the middle of the season and make it mean anything. Gotta take it for what it is. And.... it's not much. I saw it was on at the pizza place I was at with a buddy after coaching kids' hoops and barely looked up to see what was going on. E2A: I even put $1 into a FanDuel contest that combines the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl and still didn't care ... Russell Wilson was money, few other picks were OK... I think I'm winning $5. stevegrab
Because sponsors are still paying $ for it Ding ding, we have a winner. Somebody will pay the NFL to produce and show this. And you know why, RATINGS. While ratings are down they are still pretty high (5.0 vs. 5.6 & 6/7 last 2 years includes move from NBC to ESPN), and much higher than a lot of other programs get. I don't who is watching, but millions are. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/02/01/pro-bowl-tv-ratings-down-again/ By contrast the NHL All-Star game set a record ratings on NBS Sports Network with a 1.17 rating, up from 0.94 last year. DMD
When I watch the Pro Bowl, I am reminded of that scene in Amadeus when the actors were dancing on the stage with no music.
dfv87
I am a Vikes Homer also but watching Teddy struggle to throw the long ball really showed his lack of arm strength... I was impressed with Carr and his arm strength and accuracy but the game was an exhibition with limited effort by everybody.
