Heart Attack

Recommended Posts

I came home today from the hospital. I went via the wagon on Sunday morning suffering from severe chest pains. What I thought was indigestion / heart burn was a heart attack. I had been suffering from "indigestion" every since my kidney surgery about 3 months ago. Whenever I would do cardio work at the gym I would get indigestion. I would stop, drink a little soda and feel fine. What I did not realize is that the soda was not helping but the fact that I had stopped putting my heart under stress was the reason the pain stopped. I basically was doing a stress test numerous times each week. Finally this weekend the pain got bad, real bad. The antacids helped but the pain keep coming back. It was time to go to the hospital. They found a 95% blockage in my main artery, also known as the widow maker. I had a stint put in and am home and doing great. I did not have high blood pressure or cholesterol. I workout doing cardio and weights 4-6 times a week. I eat well but could do better. One nurse thinks all the working out I do kept me alive. I think I have to agree. Please learn the symptoms of a heart attack and get to know your body. I should have went to the doctor two months ago. Its been a rough year so far between this and kidney cancer. All I can say to the Grim Reaper is "give me your best shot because I am going to kick your arz."

Have known several people who went for a stress test, found massive blockage (and maybe a minor heartache) and quickly had a stint put in. Glad to hear you're ok.
