DMD
Kaepernick is like the ugly girl that no one wants to ask to the prom but eventually, someone probably has to.

kdko
Matt Moore is one of the better backup QB's in the league.

stethant
#1 Jay Cutler (aaaahahahahahahahahahahahahaha) #2 Tony Romo #3 Me #4 Still not Kaep Personally they should just stick with Matt Moore. loaf
It's not sounding good here... Cutler's name was thrown out on the NFL Network and channel 88 on my Sirius radio this morning.
tazinib1
I can't stand Cutler but I don't mind him signing with Miami. He'll be throwing like a mad man and Jarvis Landry in my Dynasty would be a spark. It would also make the Patriots/Bills TM D's much more valuable.
tazinib1
Bring in Kaepernick!! Ross has already gone on record as supporting him to be signed in the NFL. Let's see if he was just blowing smoke up people's arses.

Brock Osweiler? Gase has a history with him in DEN (was there in 2012-14). I think he has a better chance than Kaep, I'd slot him in at #2 on your list. Romo is not returning unless Jerry Jones comes crawling. Cutler was supposed to move into the broadcast booth this season for Fox, they were smart and put him in a 3 man booth, I guess if he unretires they just use 2 guys. Romo returning would be bad for CBS since they kicked Phil Simms to the curb to give the golden boy their #1 analyst job working with Jim Nantz. michaelredd9
It makes sense for Kaepernick to go to a team in this kind of situation. It would make little sense for a team to deal with fan backlash in order to sign a backup quarterback. And fans will be more understanding and backlash less in an emergency situation where their season is in jeopardy. Protests are fine and dandy but winning is more important. DMD
One reality is that Miami has a huge Cuban population and Kaepernick is hated by them all for wearing a Fidel Casto shirt and in some way defending Castro who is reviled by those who left Cuba. Kaepernick grilled by MIA reporter about Castro shirt So he not only has the whole "disrespect the flag" angle but also supported a dictator that destroyed families of many Miami fans. So he has that going for him too, which is nice...

Kaep to the white courtesy phone. Kaepernick more than likely burned that bridge with his pro Fidel Castro nonsense. He's already a PR nightmare. Add that he also alienated the Cuban community and I think that's about as likely as returning to the bay.

stevegrab
Kaep still waiting for that perfect fit, one where his baggage is outweighed by the need + his potential. Reports are Cutler gets 10M for 1 year plus up to 3M more in incentives, surely more than Fox was going to pay for a 3rd man in the booth.
