CowboysDiehard
...we'll see how long that lasts. He's only good in spurts.
stethant
It's really unbelievable how many teams are completely unprepared to start the season at the QB position. There are the usual suspects like Cleveland, NYJets, SF, and Jacksonville but now we're adding in playoff contenders like Denver and Houston. Denver knew Siemian was a placeholder last year. I guess they'll power through this season and come up with a better plan next year.

They drafted Paxton Lynch in the first round last year and expected him to be able to start after learning for a year. What else should they have done? Browns also drafted a QB high, had a guy with a year of experience that was ok, then had that trade for Oz. So far looks like Oz will start, but Kizer is on his heels and should be on the field by game 4-6 (even if Oz stays healthy). The simple fact is there are not 32 capable NFL caliber QBs, so some teams struggle to find one.

Ditching Osweiler, even at the expense of a second rounder, looks like it was the first step in the right direction for them.
