eanenson
I'm no doc, but it doesn't sound good and I'm sure there's more than few owners relying on production from Ty for their league. Anyone know the average timetable for broken ribs and what we can be looking at?
Inziladun
I dunno, they give these guys shots and stuff for the pain I'm pretty sure. Broken ribs are really painful. They can put a flak jacket on him but I can't imagine that helps too much. Probably at least a month.
tazinib1
I know many players, including RB's, have played through broken ribs before. I don't know how they do it. I had 1 broken rib and I was out of work for 2 weeks. I can't imagine playing freak'n football with that kind of pain. Of course I didn't have the meds they do haha. I'd give it 2-4 weeks depending on his pain tolerance.
Cowboyz1
Ribs for a RB are really tough to play through. Just about any other position other then RB you may be able to fight through but RB is just too dangerous. A rib can puncture a lung or even the heart or arteries depending on which rib. 4-6 IMO unless its a crack. Damn my team is just falling apart. BrockStaysHigh
Right now speculation is its a hairline fracture. However, Considering they have a week 8 bye id assume he wont be back til week 9. Sucks for all of us who own him, really sucks cuz they play the saints week 7. kdko
I had several bruised ribs before and a have pretty good pain tolerance, and it was unbelievably painful...to even breathe. Coughing? Ugh.. I can't imagine how painful it is to suit up, and be huffing and puffing with broken ribs. I can't see how he suits up next week unless he's on some of that good-good. Rileyrott
I have to ask...Is there an "official" injury report from the Packers saying Ty's ribs are, in fact, broken? All I hear/read/see is mostly speculation. What am I missing?
Gopher
Sounds like he may suit up next week. I'd be looking for other options, regardless... Taking a goose egg this week is bad enough. Taking one two weeks in a row (if he plays, but re-aggravates the injury) would be brutal. Montgomery injury may not be serious
