When Crowder throws it backwards to Cousins and Cousins doesn't catch it, is that a fumble on Crowder? Or is it classified as something other than a fumble? I guess that's what it really boils down to. Does a fumble require unintentional loss of possession? Since Crowder intentionally threw it back to Cousins, does that mean it isn't a fumble, even if Cousins doesn't recover it? If it is considered a fumble on Crowder, then I'd think the play would be dead if another Redskin recovers it according to the fumble rules. If it is something other than a fumble, then that makes sense that play could continue. I'm just trying to figure out what it would be classified as, if it isn't a fumble.
