jamesplante11
Statistically Crabtree is Oakland’s best WR, so does Peters cover Crabtree making Cooper a viable WR2 against the weaker opposition? Or does Peters stick to Cooper making him a bench player this week?
loaf
this is from ESPN: Based on 2017 usage, Cooper will see Peters on 37 percent of his routes and Crabtree will on 41 percent. That's significant, but the two wideouts will also run more than half of their routes against the struggling combination of Mitchell and Gaines.
michaelredd9
Marcus Peters plays exclusively on the left side of the defense so he won't be shadowing one receiver. Edited October 19, 2017 by michaelredd9

jamesplante11
I was listening to the announcers before the game and they said Oakland “Has made it known they are going to be looking Cooper’s way more often, and plan to line him up in many formations tonight, in the slot, out wide, etc. They also plan to keep him opposite of Peters all night” Made me feel a little better, then the TD made my feel better about trading Fuller and Duke Johnson for Cooper and McCoy

Heck of a trade :). Edited October 20, 2017 by stevegrab
jamesplante11
Anyone else think Romo should coach? For the last 3 weeks I have listened to him in the booth and it’s gone from “just shut up already” to “he’s literally disected every play this half perfectly before the snap” Edited October 21, 2017 by jamesplante11
captain77
Romo should be a defensive coordinator. He knows whats coming 90% of the time and usually before they even break the huddle...from the booth. Behind the center was a different story. Maybe he just reads offenses better than defenses... stevegrab
He might be able to coach, but there's no pressure in the booth, there's more money and more noteriety. Romo has always seemed like the kind of guy that likes the spotlight. And when you consider he jumped straight into the #1 broadcast team for CBS, that's quite a start to a broadcaster career. Is some NFL team going to hire him as a coordiantor or head coach with no experience? Could he coach sure, will it happen, doubtful.
captain77
Agree 100%. He's not leaving his current gig. There's a reason why Gruden hasn't left. I should have said "could" rather than "should" be a defensive coordinator.
jamesplante11
I think Defensive Coordinators should listen to the broadcast at halftime and realize how obvious they are being, because Romo really makes it seem like it’s written in the wall, in size 200 times new roman
