Patricia to the Lions, McDaniels to the Colts

Ok that makes sense, but then why let Matt Patricia go? Is he a lesser part of the Pats success? More deserving of the HC job? Or just not in the Pat's succession plan?

 

As for Bill's legacy, it will stand more on his success with the Pats, his success as a DC with Parcells Giants, and not much on his coacing tree unless Patricia and McDaniels have very good results (other branches from the tree did not do well).
