According to Michael Silver of NFLN signing Martin does not mean the Raiders are letting Lynch go. He's still under contract for 2018. But he has an odd contract, no dead cap money after 2017. He does have a $1M roster bonus due on 3/18, if he is on the team after that, and later traded or released that counts against the cap. Either way they can save $5-6M by releasing or trading him.
