so... week 8?

how is this for drama...

CLE HC told everyone that Gordon was not going to start or play much, only 20 snaps, then OC started him and played him most of the game

CLE dumbster fire

You mean Hue Jackson blows?  Wow what a news flash.   lol @ keeping him and dumping the GM who netted them so many extra draft picks.

Purely speculation, but I believe the Haslem's kept Jackson knowing very well that no one would want to coach the team if they fired him even tho he was promised 3 years.

The GM that netted them all those draft picks had no idea what to do with them.

Back to the Lions and Matt Patricia...when has a NE Coordinator worked out as a head coach in the NFL?

Because these guys have problems with their own teams that they'd rather ignore and bash the cellar dwelling Browns.

Don't bother them with logic, they'll just say "you're a Browns fan, what do you know", since being a fan of a winning team makes you knowledgeable.

BTW there was talk about how Patricia was running a tough camp back during training camp, now when they lose, in a game where it appeared the defense knew what was coming, its NEWS again and will be used to funnel the usual (and overly early) speculation on coaches being fired.

The team, including Stafford, just straight-up gave up in week 1. We need a few more weeks but wow was that effort pathetic.

If they start winning the veterans will come around or end up on different teams. If not....

Stafford got his @ss kicked all night and stayed in the game.... he played horribly for sure but you cant say the guy gave up.

Hes a tough SOB for taking those shots and staying in when the game was well out of reach.

heard some stuff about this on the radio today.....then read the print from the link

Specifically, the "number of rules put in place" and "how hard he worked them" during the summer.

sounds to me like they oughta let him blow this up as much as he wants and start over....sounds like he needs some new guys....these guys sound like guys that want their paychecks

thats sort of the problem with most of the league....there arent many teams with a qb/coach combo where you have no choice but to respect or fall in line....theres a few qbs....and a couple of coaches...even though patricia has been part of success hes never been the main guy...and these guys could care less....theyre ok with being the lions...almost good enough but just not quite good enough.....

Veteran safety and team leader Glover Quin says not really a big deal.

Sounds right, the team was soft and lacked discipline, any who watched much under Caldwell knew that. All new coaches will change some things and ruffle some feathers. And some guys will complain to people, the media will hear about that tell us "Matt Patricia has lost his team".

Just sports hyperbole to keep fans interested
