Tom Brady

Was it me or did he seem very disinterested in the game vs Detroit.  In fact, the whole team seemed to be going through the motion.  Not a lot of life with them.

I think Edelman and Gordon will change the dynamic of this offense.  Hogan is NOT a good slot WR.  He will be better served out the outside opposite Gordon.  Edelman excels in the slot.  They will be a lot better at stretching the field when they get their skill players back and all on the same page.

He seemed very frustrated with the talent around him.  However, Edelman/Gordon should open things up for his offense.  Not buying any "the Pats are cooked" commentary just yet!

They seem to always start slow dont they.

Usually I don't believe in the doom and gloom thing with the Patriots but damn, that effort just seemed weak.

The Lions kept them off the field. That has always been the key to frustrating Tom Brady. He becomes distant and disinterested.

I'd think he has some interest in pushing NE into tops of the Lombardi race at 7 but maybe not.

This, the Lions offense combined with good early defense meant the Pats sat and watched most of the first half. Brady and the rest don't like that and it got to them. If not for the early 2nd half turnover and great field position they're not even scoring that TD. 

 

I get that Edelman is out, but they knew that. Apparently they didn't think it mattered much, or were ok with a 2-2 or worse record when he returns. As for Gordon, we'll see he isn't even healthy enough to play yet, and will need time to learn the playbook and develop chemistry.

 

They also resigned Corey Coleman to the practice squad, increasing their number of player movements involving a WR (was already 24 when they signed Gordon).

I say a desperate Brady throwing long incomplete and intercepted passes to Dorsett.  We would normally see Brady throw a lot of dump off to James White and move the chains.  For what every reason the play calling was pretty bad..
