Weekly projections

Just curious how a guy like Fred Warner, who has 15 total tackles in the past three weeks, including just 3 against the Cards, is somehow projected to come up with 7 solos this week.. against the Cards no less.

I am a happy Warner owner, as he was huge to start the season, but he's tailed off.

Wondering what the reasoning is behind him all of a sudden bouncing back to put up bigger numbers again, especially against a team that he logged only 3 solos against a couple weeks ago.  Has something changed?

I believe they're projecting for Foster to possibly be limited with his shoulder injury, opening up more snaps and tackle opportunities for the other LB's. Elijah Lee is a good looking sneaky play if Foster is out, he's is easily the highest rated SF LB on PFF and ought to have earned more playing time. But again, it is a poor matchup in a solo heavy venue. BJ Goodson (Ogletree out) vs WSH and Preston Brown (Vigil + Burfict out) vs TB are much better spot starts.

I have Warner too.

I'm guessing that AZ will get DJ more touches/pases with Rosen struggling.

Yeah, the new OC (Leftwich) is supposed to involve DJ more.  Still a pretty big leap of faith to go from averaging 5 total tackles the past three weeks up to 7 solos.

This would actually make the projection make more sense if in fact Foster is out.  I know he exited last week's game after hurting his shoulder, but I was under the impression he was already playing with a bum shoulder and left the game after aggravating the existing injury.  But they're projecting Foster to play and get 5 solos.

Not trying to be a pain in the tushie, just wondering what the reasoning was.  Again, happy Warner owner and debating on starting him over Whitehead, who's got the better matchup on paper.

Just now seeing this and the reasoning is two-fold....I expect Byron Leftwich to get DJ much more involved and Foster's shoulder injury played a part, albeit a slightly less important part. Also, note that the confidence factor on Foster is 1 star because there is/was no way to be sure he'll play, how long he'll play, how effective he'll be, etc.

And you know you can always DM or email me if you have any questions about the projections.
