rajncajn
I know the NFL doesn't care, but I and pretty much every Saints fan I know will not be watching.

To me the marquee matchup would of been Brees vs Brady. Besides a betting interest I couldn't care less about this game.
Patriots
Rams are not good against the run. Rams will game plan to stop the run. Pats will come out and throw all day long. When the Rams adjust at halftime the Pats will run. That is why they are so hard to beat. I give the edge to the Pats in this one. I think BB having two weeks to prep is a huge advantage Pats. Experience - Huge advantage Pats. But we all know that anything can happen. Should be a fun one to watch. Sorry we made it again. I know the world is sick of us. I don't blame you. And I agree that each team should get the ball in overtime.

He will not lose 2 Superbowls in a row.

I may put a decent chunk on the Pats. That D line of the Rams really needs to ball out and create problems. And Goff can't go deer in the headlights. He's been both good and not good in pressure this year. Edited January 23, 2019 by purplemonster

League_Champion
I was happy to get the Pats at -1.5 and the under at 58. The lines is creeping up. Vegas is loving the Pats, get some! Edited January 28, 2019 by League_Champion

But there is no excuse to miss that call. There were 2 refs within 15 feet who had great angles. I don't know how it's "unrealistic" to expect them to make that call or any of the other ones they get paid to make

These guys officiate at the highest level and get paid to do it. They shouldn't make mistakes that a grade school ref wouldn't have missed. League_Champion
The money is pouring in on the Pats. It will be interesting to see what happens as we get closer to game time. "The Patriots did open as a one-point underdog to the Los Angeles Rams immediately after the AFC Championship Game. However, it took mere minutes for the line to move to favor the Patriots. It swung to the Patriots side, and by Monday morning was at Patriots -2.5. In the week since, money has poured in heavily on the Patriots, and sportsbooks find themselves awaiting some kind of rush on the Rams." stevegrab
I read something interesting recently, see linked article below, scroll down to Early Scouting heading. Romo's first "interview" CBS Sports Sean McManus was in Houston for SB 49 and asked Romo for his feedback on the game, he proceeded to give them a concise but thorough run down of the Pats and Seahawks strengths/weaknesses, they were floored.

It's unreal how much he really knows. I never really paid much attention to him. But since the playoffs started I can't turn him off. I understand he has a young family, he's always enjoyed the spotlight, doubt he takes on the headaches of coaching at this time. (But then I also thought Jon Gruden would never leave the booth, who knew the Raiders would offer him $100M.)
purplemonster
Another good article. I liked this excerpt https://www.yahoo.com/sports/tony-romo-famous-now-played-020141375.html “I’m still looking at [the game] from the quarterback’s perspective,” Romo said. “You start off with the personnel. Then you go to formation. Then you go to the protection side of it, what can you protect, what are the possibilities. “And then you go situation,” he continued, meaning down and distance. “And then go through the one-on-one matchups and personnel. And then you start to go through mannerisms. And then you think about schemes and history of those coaches on what they could or couldn’t call based on down and distance and where they are at and time.” See, not complicated. Oh, and you have to do all of that in a matter of seconds and do it the same way that Brady is doing it, and then you need to convey it to a far less football-sophisticated audience in as few words as possible." There's something to be said about being involved in the game and the competition.. if you have a passion for that you cannot get that satisfaction from the booth.
