Joe Flacco entering his prime

Recommended Posts

Quote

Broncos general manager John Elway reportedly said that he thinks that Joe Flacco is just now entering his prime, according to NFL Network's James Palmer.

Sports Illustrated

Uh. Prime what?

Elway was a great QB.

His recent picks to build on what Peyton Manning left have been Case Keenum, Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch and now Flacco.

What is he possibly thinking?

he knows that when the new owner is selected by the trust that everyone will be dismissed with the new owner choosing a completely new staff. Since there's a lawsuit trying to force the trust to do its job, the end is within a few years. He's clutching at straws instead of trying to build the team properly. DEN might be the worst team in the division... meaning a wildcard would be impossible.

So (the really bad word) if I know.

There is some speculation they might bring in Blake Bortles since there are no other QBs on their roster currently. So they have that going for them.

The Payton Manning batch wasn't bad either. It was a top seller.

manning was the one good thing Elway did. Granted, it was very significant

Flacco has five kids under six years of age. I bet he is more daddy than QB these days. Which, good for him.

With his back problems, he should be prohibited from picking up his kids.  And his wife should always be on top.  And vasectomy.

What is wrong with him? How can one of the greatest QB's of all time be so wrong when it comes to evaluating that position?

They won that Superbowl despite Manning. The defense won that Superbowl. All Manning had to do that year was protect the ball. As long as Elway is the GM his QB legacy is safe
