Is it safe to drop or bench OJ Howard

Recommended Posts

I hate to overreact after a week or 2, but I never had much faith in Howard to begin with. TE is a very thin position and there isn't may options on waivers/FA list. Here are some of the top rated TEs available.

Burton- Chi (hurt)

Rudolph- Min

Uzomah- Cin

Reed- Was (hurt)

Jarwin- Dal

Eifert- Cin

Higbee- LAR

Fant- Den

There are more, these are just at the top. Is anyone worth picking up?

Reed. If you already played Howard you don’t have to worry about his status this week. I would give Howard 1 more week since they play Giants next. If they don’t get him going in that one then bench him and play reed.

I'll be at least benching and possibility dropping him if I need the bench spot this week at waivers. He is clearly not part of the TB offense at all this year.

TB is that wack they paid Brate and OJ, OJ has the catching talent but they still have to include both guys just doesn't make sense that OJ's not involved but regardless you have Winston and this whatever you call it offense.

Thanks. I unfortunately played Howard yesterday and got 0 while my opponent played Kuechly (we play 1 IDP) and he got 19pts. I'll try Reed, who didn't do much for me last season, and if Howard bombs again, I'll bench him.

Reed? He's on concussion protocol.

He might be cleared to play this week. If I give Howard 1 more week, Reed should be available for week 4. And hopefully can stay healthy.
