1fastdoc
I've been looking at that stats of our 10 team league and RB strength correlates very strongly to weekly production and overall ranking. I figured the QB position would also correlate slightly but it really doesn't at all, likely due to the single position on a 10 man roster. WR is the opposite! The guy in 7th place has 4 of the 5 best WR's. Those of us with top 5 teams only have 1 decent WR. I should point out that we're PPR with 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 2 FLEX. I draft RB heavy with a focus on pass catching backs. So so mad I passed on CMC for DJ in the past (dynasty league). The question becomes how to value RB vs WR in trades. Interestingly, there are 14 RB over 100 points so far and 13 WR. So the discrepancy is small. But the WR has a much higher variance so it's more boom/bust. I don't have a top 10 WR, Thielen being my best. Conversely my RB are # 3, 7, 8. But they're relatively consistent. My worst starting RB is Melvin Gordon (my others are Johnson, Fournette and Ekeler). It looks like I'll package Gordon with a low WR1 or high WR2 to try to improve further at RB, lol. Unless of course Gordon starts catching balls. Just my observations. Your results may vary.
