David Montgomery time...Bears release Mike Davis

Recommended Posts

This is good, I'm running out of players. But every pundit predicts Montgomery will do well this week, and I'm finally playing him, which usually means he'll be ignored or get injured

I won't be surprised if someone scoops up Mike Davis. He's shown he can play well when given a chance. And the bears signed him to a 2 year contract in the beginning. Dude got paid 3 million for a few carries this season.

I don't see how this changes anything in Chicago. Most people have known Davis wasn't in the plan after the first few weeks.

As much as I hate to say it, that's a good move by the Panthers.

Picked Davis up. Carolina now has a vet back up to Cmc. Who has taken 185 carries. Next closest on team has 11. Either Cmc gonna get hurt or they need to rest him. Insert Davis to take a bit of a breather from Cmc.  7 games left.

No doubt a good move. He's a borderline starter, nice insurance policy

Agreed. It's a brilliant move. They are really thinking long term.

Amazing how suddenly without Newton playing and a bit of struggle by the Saints the Panthers could be playoff contenders.
