Trade Advice

Recommended Posts

In a 16 team dynasty league with rookie draft I've been offered the following trade.

1.02, 1.03 and 1.05 for Miles Sanders, Chris Godwin and 1.07.

Start - 1 QB, 1-3 RB. 2-5 WR, 1-3 TE.  Total of 8 offensive players.

Scoring for RB includes PPR of .5, WR of 1.00 and TE of 1.50.  QB gets 5.00 for TD passes.

I'm inclined to take the trade or counter for some extra late round picks since I love the depth of this draft.  I essentially consider this a trade of 1.02 and 1.03 for Sanders and Godwin.  1.05 and 1.07 is essentially an even trade to me but I have the advantage of taking my guy there.  I love Sanders and I really like Godwin but I'm essentially rebuilding and need more WR's. Here's my offensive team.  Thanks for the help.

Player 2019 Pts
Bridgewater, Teddy CAR QB 124.5 -
Rodgers, Aaron GBP QB 344.6 -
Ekeler, Austin LAC RB 295.4 -
Freeman, Devonta FA RB 205.9 -
Johnson, Kerryon DET RB 104.6 -
Pollard, Tony DAL RB 110.6 -
Sanders, Miles PHI RB (Q) 237.5 -
Cooper, Amari DAL WR 257.9 -
Godwin, Chris TBB WR (Q) 301.5 -
Hurd, Jalen SFO WR -
Johnson, Diontae PIT WR (Q) 169.0 -
Sanders, Emmanuel NOS WR 202.0 -
Washington, James PIT WR 137.9 -
Gronkowski, Rob TBB TE -
Hollister, Jacob SEA TE 118.6 -
Uzomah, C.J. CIN TE 78.5 -

While I like the depth of this draft, I'm just not sure it is worth risking two solid known commodities for the risk of so many rookies. I'd be a bit more inclined to do it if you didn't have to give up 1.07. That way you would have 4 good chances to replace 2 solid players. That's a risk I would be a bit more willing to take, though again it is still more risky than staying put.

You're not getting any younger (Godwin 3rd season and Sanders 2nd season) with that trade, so I don't see a point to do it.  You think you will get a better long term receiver than Godwin from 1.02 or 1.03?  Sanders in my mind is still hit or miss, probably will get a much better idea this season.  Stay put.

Godwin's value worth more then 1.02 by himself (and it's not currently close)

Sanders' value worth more than 1.03 by himself

1.05 and 1.07 are same tier of rookie picks

No surefire stud like Barkley and even with 1sts the hit rate is maybe slightly better then 50% or something like that...

Ya I'd take my chances with those that have actually been on the field.

Misread which side receiving the picks.

Well, I did it.

I gave up: Godwin, Sanders, 1.07 and 3.15

I get: 1.02, 1.03, 1.05, 1.10 and 3.04.

Thanks for making me press for more.

God save me.

You lost IMO. Godwin is on his way to becoming a superstar and Sanders a Pro Bowl back. There's no guarantees in this draft

Not a huge fan of the trade but you should get quality players with your picks
