I get Droughns and Rattay he gets Brees and Barlow Would you bite??? i'm not sure if i can trust droughns or not as my back up rest of year. needsomeluck Posted November 20, 2004 Share Posted November 20, 2004 You not sure you can trust Droughns as your backup, yet you trust Barlow? Droughns has Bell backing him up and Hearst. I can't see Bell getting a chance unless Droughns chokes big time and he hasn't. The only time Droughns doesn't get the carries is when the Broncos fall behind and need to throw. Barlow on the other hand is on a team that always gets behind, has to throw to catch up and is losing touches. On top of that Barlow is yet to live up to his hype. They pulled him last week to give a spark to the team with Hicks. If you are worried about trusting backups...I worry more about having Rattay as my backup qb, he is a injury waiting to happen. I just don't think it makes your team any better, plus I think you can get more for Brees than Droughns. Droughns puts up some nice yards but he has scored 1 TD...1 TD! Also, it looks like you can start only 2 RB's and I don't think it would be wise sit either LT or Duece so I would be afraid that you traded for a RB that may never get into your line-up. If you're bent on making a trade, try to get a hot WR as there is no telling what R Moss will be like (hamstring injuries have a way of hanging around) or a RB that gets more TD's - that's my real hang up with Droughns.
