davehb1
what is the possibility tice is just waiting for mewelde moore to return and use him as the starter? After all Moore put up the best numbers during his stint as the starter and seemed like a better fit...talent aside, is he the one?
Fatman
Hard to say. From what I've heard, his ankle still makes him a no go for this week. Also, don't forget that Moore performed when Moss was still playing. That opens up things for any back. I'm waiting for Moore to come back, too, but I'm finding it harder and harder to justify his spot on my roster...
alexgaddis
Who knows what the hell Tice is doing... It could be anyone any week...I would like to see Mewelde back in there after he heals fully but for the time being I want to see Onterio as he is the most talented IMO... get rid of Bennett...he's just a speed guy with no vision and no ability to break a tackle.. Marauders11
Doesn't sound like Tice is too thrilled with Mr. Moore at this point: "I don't know. I'm just, I'm miffed. When will I bring him back? We'll bring him back when he feels like he can go out and practice and play. I even saw him this morning and said, "How we doing?" He gave me the ("I'm not sure,") so (that) is not a good thing. I don't know. It's taking him a long time to come back, but high ankle sprains, in his defense, are weird injuries. Just when you think this is a mild high ankle sprain, you're looking at five weeks. If he were healthy he'd be back, and we'd find a role for him, even if it was returning kicks and taking some of those hits off of (backup WR) Kelly (Campbell) and (starting WR) Nate (Burleson). We spoke about that last week I think. But at this point it doesn't appear he's going to be any farther along this week. Why is that? I don't know. Each one of us heals differently. We all heal differently. We all deal with pain differently."

davehb1
with 3 healthy starting backs in smith, bennett, and williams why would tice care so much about moore - with moss coming back maybe tice is feeling that the combo of moss, culpepper and moore is the best one on the field...after all they have been the most productive
Marauders11
If I am not mistaken, Moore is still the team's leading rusher- despite only 3 starts :bigshock:
Skrappy1
what is the possibility tice is just waiting for mewelde moore to return and use him as the starter? I kind of doubt it, but maybe with a little luck we'll find out this weekend. Moore was upgraded to probable today. These snippets are from K-Fan in Minnesota: Birk, Dorsey and running back Mewelde Moore (ankle) are listed as probable. Towards the end of the article, it also says: • Running back Onterrio Smith likely will handle a plurality of the team's carries Sunday, Tice said. The "Tice said" part is laughable, because we all know by now that what he says, and then what he actually does, are quite often far different things. . . especially with his RBs. Skrappy1
Now Tice says Moore, while healthy enough to play, will probably be inactive this weekend. Is he bluffing? Who knows. • Running back Mewelde Moore (ankle sprain) practiced Wednesday and appears healthy enough to play Sunday if needed. Tice, however, indicated that Moore probably will be inactive for the fourth consecutive game. Michael Bennett appears on track to make his third consecutive start at running back. http://www.startribune.com/stories/510/5104489.html
