NFL Network's Adam Shefter reports that the Vikings hope to make Onterrio Smith the primary running back down the stretch.

Very interesting news, not reported yet by the Minnesota media. Smith has been the most consistent back in Minnesota this season, so it makes sense. He's a solid buy-low candidate heading to the fantasy playoffs.

Who knows, I may be nuts. But, I like O. Smith's chances for the rest of the year. If Tice truly makes him the primary ball carry, he'll be a solid #2 RB. They've look like sheet when Tice gives 3 different guys 5 carries. He needs to decide on one back & give the guy 15+ carries per game.

If he does indeed do that with Smith it would be a great time to get him for cheap now.

Can Tice makea decision and stick with it? IF so I agree, but I doubt if he can.
