Titan RB Chris Brown (toe) practiced with the team yesterday for the first time Friday and our Titan insider thinks he’ll play today. We’ll confirm this, of course, online before the start of the game. If you’re starting Brown, make sure he’s active before plugging him in because he’s still a gametime decision.

Starting RB Chris Brown (toe) isn't on the inactive list but won't play. Backup RB Antowain Smith will start for him.

Titans: Brown is back

The News

Chris Brown will be in the Titans' starting lineup today against the Texans. He missed last week's game because of a turf toe injury that he originally suffered in week seven. On Friday he participated in his first team drills since the injury occurred.

Our View

Brown is as healthy as he will be this season unless the team sits him for an extended period of time to let the injury fully heal. Antowain Smith, who started last week, will be Brown's backup.

Who do I believe? :D

also from Fanball:

There is some confusion regarding Titans' running back Chris Brown's status for Sunday. A stadium official told Fanball.com that Brown will start at running back for the Titans. However, ESPN reporter Chris Mortensen said that the only reason Brown is active for Sunday's game is that the team didn't have room on the inactive list. Meanwhile, TitansRadio.com reports that the second-year back will be available to the Titans this week, but head coach Jeff Fisher plans to split carries between Brown and Antowain Smith. Sounds like a mess to us. Fantasy owners should consider using any comparable options they might have this week.
